"Let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth."

The bags!

Here they are!  Next week we get some that have a verse on the bottom.  Love it!

They are ten dollars -- $12.50 if we need to send it to you.  You can pay Anna or me when you see us OR you can use the chip in.

By the way, the chip in shows only those people who have paid through Pay pal but the thermometer in the margin shows ALL the money we have raised so far.  Now I'm going for $2000....

Thanks for your support for the orphans!!  Kathryn.

Why I want to go to Uganda

So I decided I should explain all of this a little better....

When I found out that Deb was adopting a baby from Uganda I thought that it was really neat but nothing more. Then one day my mom and I were driving in the car and I just said, "Hey. Do you think Deb will take me with her?" I kinda thought that mom would just laugh at me but instead she said that I should go for it and give her a presentation of why I should go. I kept saying that I knew the answer would be "no" but mom said, "Its Debbie... you never know."  :) So I prepared for Deb a presentation that gave her all the reasons I thought I should go. You can check it out here.  Here are some of my reasons:

The main reason I want to go is because I want to help out the kids over there sooo bad. I feel like I can work with the kids and be their friend. Then I just recently went on a missions trip to Tennessee and I acquired a heart for helping people out. After Deb said that I could go with her but she would like it if I could raise money for the orphans, I immediately started thinking about how I could help.  This experience of trying to raise money and soo exciting. So by raising money, I feel like I can help so much more. Also, I think that this experience will be life changing and maybe a start for more of things like this for me. To see the way those people live I feel like I will become so much more grateful for the things I have. (I already feel more grateful and that's just from reading books!) And last, I think that this trip will look really good on a college application saying that I had experience in another country working with another culture.

Keep your eyes out for a GREAT bag we will be selling to raise funds.  It is cute, cute, cute!!!  And, if you want to donate, see the chip-in below.  AND, if you want to follow along the process, you can go to Deb's blog HERE.
So there are just a few points for why I feel like I should do this. Thank you for your prayers!  Kathryn
